Wall master presses panels to wall elements via computer control

In the wall master, individual boards are pressed together in a criss-cross manner to form wall elements in sizes from 2 x 2 m to 3.25 x 6 m and a thickness from 11.5 to 34 cm and layer-wise joined using aluminium groove pins specially developed for this. The machine automatically detects the widths of the boards. These are accurately placed and the aluminium pins are set at the intersections of the boards so accurately that an optimum strength is guaranteed. 

The wall master is equipped with automatic nail sorting equipment i.e. the aluminium pins are supplied to the high speed tandem nailing device loose. The benefit of this newly developed system is that reloading of the nailing devices is no longer necessary.

The boards are firmly joined to each other in the form of layers and a homogeneous Massiv-Holz-Mauer® is produced. After having achieved the desired element thickness, the processing table is lowered hydraulically so that the entire element is on rollers and can be transported to the CNC gantry-type machining for further processing. The element size can vary from 2 x 2 m to 3.25 x 6 m with a thickness up to 34 cm. 

Since, depending on element size and nail speed, short delays occur when feeding the boards manually, the machine operator can prepare a large number of boards with this technology. Thus, the quality of the individual board products can be checked again, the machine operators gains time for other accompanying tasks and is also physically relieved because of the automatic feeding.

 

 

 

The individual boards are placed by the machine operator on the cross feeder and later brought automatically into the wall master. Since, depending on element size and nail speed short delays normally occur when feeding the boards manually, using this technology the machine operator is in the position to prepare a large number of boards. Thus the quality of the individual board products can be checked again, the machine operators gins time for other accompanying tasks and is also physically relieved because of the automatic feeding. Using the in-feed system the individual boards are transported fully automatically to the machine and conveyed by a positioning guide to the correct position in the wall element controlled by the program. Depending on the board width, the gantry is positioned fully automatic. The board layers are pressed with each other and joined crosswise using special aluminium pins according to a nail pattern prescribed by the computer.
